my favorite phone apps
i don't use my phone too much, but there are some apps i do enjoy. aside from the occasional text message, i also really like the two games i have on my phone. i play Pokemon TCG Pocket, which is quite fun. i have to admit i don't know much about Pokemon. despite being a child in the 90s i missed out on all of the card trading and video games. i remember feeling a little weirded out by all the other kids around me being instantly obsessed by a trading card game
but nowadays, i kind of enjoy it in my own way. i really just like collecting the cards. that's really about it. every few hours you can log in and open a pack of cards. there are honestly some really amazing designs for them. i don't know if there are any notifications, i typically mute them all on my phone. there are definitely elements to the game that might entice someone to spend money, but i find them avoidable
the other game i really enjoy on my phone is Neko Atsume. it is pretty simple. cats visit your yard based on what toys and food you have out, and you take pictures of them! what's not to love for someone who enjoys cats? this game is similar to Pokemon TCG in that i don't really spend much time in it. i check it every so often, keep the food filled, switch out a toy, and take photos of cats that are in the yard when i have the game open
aside from those two, i wouldn't say i have any other favorite apps. i have a bunch of fashion apps on my phone, but i don't really check them all that often. i really prefer my computer due to my low vision. it can be quite hard to read text for too long on a phone. one day i hope to look into low vision aids that can help me see small text, which i often run into so often as someone who enjoys tech and interacting with it
